Tony Carroll enjoys a double-win victory at his favored racetrack, with Josephine Gordon piloting the first triumphant horse.

In a thrilling day of horse racing at the seaside venue, several notable victories were secured by trainers Tony Carroll and William Haggas.

The day began with a win for Tony Carroll in the opening 5.5f handicap, as Alshimali, ridden by an unknown jockey, crossed the finish line first. This marked Carroll's first winner for the season.

Later in the day, Carroll's stablemate Celebrating Ethel, previously trained by Andrew Kinirons in Ireland, made a spectacular comeback, winning the 1m2f classified stakes. Ridden by Jack Doughty, Celebrating Ethel beat stablemate Headshot by three and a quarter lengths, ending a winless run stretching back to August 2023. The victory also marked Carroll's second win of the day and his third at the seaside venue in the last five years, making him a standout trainer at this seaside venue.

However, Carroll was denied a treble in the 7f handicap, with Berning Hot, trained by Michael Attwater, taking the victory instead.

William Haggas and Tom Marquand also secured a double of their own, with Magic Stone winning the 6f maiden and Another Abbot taking the 6f Brighton Bullet Handicap. Another Abbot's victory was Haggas's third Brighton Bullet win in the last four runnings, further cementing his success at this seaside venue.

Despite the lack of specific information about the most successful trainer at the seaside venue over the last five years, Haggas and Carroll's performances on the day certainly suggest their prominence in the racing scene at this seaside location.

In this exciting day of racing at the seaside venue, not only did Tony Carroll secure his second win with Celebrating Ethel in the 1m2f classified stakes, but he also showcased his prowess in horse-racing, having training three winners at the venue over the last five years. Interestingly, William Haggas and Tom Marquand also demonstrated their skills in racing, with their wins in the 6f maiden and 6f Brighton Bullet Handicap respectively, making them significant players in the seaside racing scene.
