Tony Awards unveil trailer for "Wicked For Good", offering a tantalizing sneak peek

Get ready for a sweet treat, theater fans! The Tony Awards blew us away with a sneak peek at "Wicked For Good".

This week saw the release of an exciting trailer for the upcoming sequel, but who could resist more magic from Oz?

🎥 And here's the trailer for "Wicked For Good" at the Tonys 🎥

The incredible duo, Cynthia Erivo (as Elphaba) and Ariana Grande (as Glinda), is back, performing "For Good" and "Because I Knew You" from the motion picture's second act. "Wicked For Good" hits theaters on November 21, 2025.

Check out the trailer right here. Anyone else feel like November can't arrive fast enough?

Seems like Elphaba and Glinda couldn't be closer on-screen and off, but Erivo hinted that the sequel will show a challenging separation in their friendship[1][2].

"They've moved on in their lives, discovering," she told the TODAY Show. "It's not a walk in the park for them to come together."

The coming-together won't be all doom and gloom, though—Erivo promises significant growth for both Elphaba and Glinda as they reconnect[2].

When Grande sat down with Clayton Davis of Variety, she explained: "We see more of Glinda's world shattering as she evolves," she said. "Ultimately, it's in that breaking point when her true self shines through."

In addition to the intriguing new storyline, "Wicked For Good" will feature new music[2].

"I won't give too much away, but there's a particular song I'm really grateful for—it's a powerful addition to the narrative," Grande shares[2].

We certainly can't wait!
