In the world of entertainment, two exciting events are taking centre stage this week. On one hand, The Great British Bake Off is heating up with Bread Week, where contestants face tricky challenges set by Paul Hollywood in the Bake Off tent. On the other hand, the stage play adaptation of the classic sitcom Fawlty Towers is reminding audiences of the brilliance of its original scripts and performances.

The hit stage production, airing on U&Gold at 9 pm, combines three classic episodes into one storyline. The stellar cast includes Adam Jackson-Smith, Anna-Jane Casey, and Hemi Yeroham as Basil, Sybil, and Manuel, respectively. John Cleese, the original Basil Fawlty, makes a special onstage appearance, adding an extra layer of nostalgia to the production.

In a separate adventure, comedian Susan Calman and her camper van, named after Helen Mirren, are travelling in and around the Malvern Hills. During her journey, Susan visits the Black Country Living Museum and takes a canal tour. She also pays a visit to the world's smallest commercial theatre.

Back on the small screen, The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice is airing on Channel 4 at 8 pm. The panel for this episode includes Natalie Cassidy and Kiell Smith-Bynoe. As the competition heats up, Jo Brand will commiserate with the third contestant to leave the competition, while Tom Allen checks out the wares brought into the studio by home bakers.

In the future, the roles of Basil, Sybil, and Manuel will be played by Danny Bayne, Mia Austen, and Hemi Yeroham in the 2025 West End play "Fawlty Towers." Another cast for the recorded live play version includes Adam Jackson-Smith, Anna-Jane Casey, and Hemi Yeroham reprising their roles.

As the week unfolds, both The Great British Bake Off and the stage play adaptation of Fawlty Towers promise to keep audiences entertained and engaged. Stay tuned for more updates!
