Tomorrow's event will be the blues festival.
The 34th edition of the BluesBaltica/Bluesfest Eutin is set to take place from May 22 to May 25, 2023, on the Eutin Market Square. Due to budget cuts, the festival has had to reduce production costs for the second consecutive year, but this hasn't dampened the excitement for the event.
The festival offers a diverse range of modern blues and blues-related styles, with acts from 14 different countries set to perform. Among the performers are Chris O'Leary Band (USA), who will take the stage at 3:15 PM on Sunday to perform Chicagoblues and Jump. The Blue Benders (S) will follow at 9 PM on Saturday with their Rockin' Contemporary Blues performance.
Adama Janlo (N) will perform Blues, Neo Soul and Gospel at 3:15 PM on Saturday, while Joey Blue It (CH) will entertain the crowd with Soul, R'n'R, Shuffle, Funk, R&B, and Swingblues at 1 PM on Saturday.
For those interested in Roots 'n' Delta, Jörg Danielsen (AUT) will perform at 1 PM on Sunday. Rune Friis & Built For Comfort (DK) will bring their Funky swingin' Blues to the stage at 6 PM on Saturday.
Nine acts are either winners of national qualifiers for the European Blues Challenge or international award recipients. One such act is Tony D & Band (CAN), who will perform Straight Bluesrock at 5:45 PM on Sunday.
The festival will also feature a "Hosted Session" by G. Schroeter & M. Breitfelder (D) and guests at 8 PM on Sunday. The event includes "Nightsessions" at the Brauhaus with two concerts each on Friday and Saturday evenings after the main program. The Nightsessions at Brauhaus am Marktplatz will take place around 11:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday of the BluesBaltica/Bluesfest Eutin.
For those unable to attend, the concerts can be watched live on www.rockradio.de. The festival encourages donations and offers free entry to all.
Previous editions of the festival have seen performances by renowned artists such as Micke & Lefty feat. Chef and Cliff Stevens. However, for a complete lineup of the 2023 event, further details or official announcements from the festival organizers would be necessary.
For those planning ahead, the search results for the 2025 event mention the involvement of members of the European Blues Union, but a detailed lineup for that year has not yet been released.
