Tommot City Council deputy, Vasily Shimokhin, is once again elected in a recent vote.
In a convincing victory, Vasily Shimokhin, the General Director of JSC "Yakutia Railways", has been re-elected as a member of the Tommot City Council in the Slyudinsky multi-member electoral district No.1.
Shimokhin received 229 votes, representing 50% of those who voted, making this the highest result in the district and several times higher than the results in other polling stations. His re-election is a direct result of his effective work in the previous term as a deputy of the Tommot City Council.
The election victory is seen as an assessment of the joint work over the past years and a down payment on the future. Shimokhin emphasized that everyone who supported him and participated in implementing initiatives is part of a single team.
One of the significant achievements during Shimokhin's tenure is the construction of social facilities, such as boxing and wrestling halls, a cadet corps, and a children's sports ground in a new residential quarter. These facilities have significantly improved the city's appearance.
Other notable projects include the completion of repair and construction of 15 km of heat pipelines and asphalt paving of 25 km of streets. A kindergarten on the left bank is nearing completion, and construction of a hotel on the left bank in the Shatuna area is ongoing.
Shimokhin's reputation as a person who delivers on his promises played a crucial role in his election victory. Voters highly appreciated his specific actions and initiatives to improve the city, support its residents and enterprises, and assist families of participants in the SVO.
Serious work has been done to convert boilers to gas in Tommot, making it the only city in the republic where liquefied gas from Lower Bestyakh is delivered, converted, and delivered through gas pipelines to the boilers.
Looking forward, Shimokhin plans to focus on the further development of Tommot's infrastructure, creation of a comfortable urban environment, and attraction of investments to improve the well-being of residents. He expressed gratitude to the residents of Tommot for their trust in his re-election and promised that planned programs will continue, and new initiatives will be implemented in the development of Tommot.
Work will also continue on the asphalt paving of streets and the construction of new heat pipelines in Tommot. Additionally, efforts are underway to organize an industrial museum in the Uklan park area in Tommot.
As the city continues to develop, Shimokhin's leadership and dedication to the well-being of Tommot's residents and businesses will undoubtedly play a significant role in shaping its future.
