Nottingham Forest's Prize Player Lewis O'Brien Garners Attention from Championship Suitors

Tom Brady's potential transfer to Birmingham for Nottingham Forest's midfielder could heat up, with a £8 million price tag set for the deal.

Premier League wannabes are pouncing on Lewis O'Brien, Nottingham Forest's sought-after midfielder. Southampton, Hull City, and the intriguing bunch owned by none other than Tom Brady - Birmingham City – are hot on his heels.

Driven by his top-notch performances at Swansea last season, O'Brien's drawn the eyes of a crowd of Championship clubs. However, Nottingham Forest is playing hardball, demanding a meaty £8million for the 26-year-old superstar.

The tough asking price could deter potential suitors, but Hull City's shown their hand with an opening bid of £5m, and it's rumored they're ready to sweeten the deal.

O'Brien's enjoyed mixed fortunes at Forest since his arrival in 2022, having made just 17 first-team appearances. Stuck in a rut, he's spent the bulk of his time at Forest on loan, traveling between Middlesbrough, Swansea, Los Angeles, and Washington.

Swansea, in particular, has left a lasting impression, and O'Brien himself has hinted at the possibility of a return. He said, "It's never out of the question [returning], but sometimes it's not in my hands..."

Sheehan's also expressing his interest loud and clear: "If he is available, should you try to re-sign him? I think that's quite an obvious answer."

The summer transfer window buzz is anything but quiet, with negotiations in full swing and Nottingham Forest looking to cash in on their assets. For now, it's a game of 'he said, she said' as clubs negotiate behind closed doors. Stay tuned for more updates!
