Tom Brady's likeness is now on display outside the Patriots' stadium following its unveiling.
Tom Brady's Grand Statue Unveiled at Gillette Stadium
Tom Brady's larger-than-life statue now stands proudly outside Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The 17-foot tall statue, sculpted by Buccacio Sculpture Services, is a testament to Brady's illustrious career with the New England Patriots.
The statue features a 12-foot tall bronze figure of Brady, a raised fist that brings the figure's height to 14.5 feet, and a 2.5-foot granite hexagonal base. The base symbolizes the six Super Bowl championships Brady won with the Patriots. The total weight of the statue is approximately 12,300 pounds, with the bronze figure itself weighing 1,800 pounds and the granite base 10,500 pounds.
The dimensions of the statue hold significant symbolism. The 12-foot height of the figure corresponds to Brady's jersey number, 12. The total height of 17 feet represents the 17 AFC East division titles won during his Patriots career.
The statue was unveiled on August 8, 2025, in a ceremony attended by Brady's parents, children, current and former teammates, and members of the Commanders' entourage. The ceremony included Brady's speech, interspersed with self-deprecating comments and humor. He jokingly pretended to receive a call from his former head coach Bill Belichick and made a humorous remark about the statue being a target for New York Jets fans to throw beer during games.
Belichick, in good spirits, jokingly criticized the statue, saying there's still room for improvement. Tom Brady, a three-time NFL MVP, five-time Super Bowl MVP, and seven-time Goodell circuit champion, never expected to be made of bronze and frozen in time.
The statue is positioned outside the Patriots Hall of Fame plaza at Gillette Stadium, serving as a lasting tribute to Brady's legendary career and profound impact on the region and franchise. Among the attendees were Devin and Jason McCourty, David Andrews, Wes Welker, Brian Hoyer, Adam Peters, and Deatrich Wise. Fans gathered on the plaza and inside the stadium to watch the ceremony, marking a historic day in the annals of the New England Patriots.
