Tom Brady Slams Dave Portnoy's $75M Flag Football Claim
A public spat has erupted between NFL legend Tom Brady and Dave Portnoy, owner of Barstool Sports. The dispute centres around Portnoy's claim that Brady will earn a staggering $75 million for playing in a flag football game in Saudi Arabia. Brady has since disputed this claim.
The row began when Portnoy, on his show 'Wake Up Barstool', asserted that Brady would receive this substantial sum for participating in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Riyadh in March 2026. Brady, however, has refuted this figure, stating that his decision to play in Saudi Arabia is motivated by his enthusiasm for the growing sport of flag football.
Following the dispute, Portnoy extended an invitation to Brady to appear on his show, which the former NFL star has yet to accept. Portnoy also humorously asked former coach Jon Gruden how much he would demand to coach Brady in the event.
Despite the public disagreement, Brady is set to participate in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Riyadh next year, joining other NFL stars. The true figure of his earnings for the event remains unclear, with Brady maintaining that Portnoy's claim is inaccurate.
