Catching Dreams with the GOAT: Brady and Fanatics Team Up with Make-A-Wish Once More
Tom Brady initiates Fanatics Fest by fulfilling a wish for a 12-year-old cancer patient through Make-A-Wish foundation: 'It's fantastic'
It's another heartwarming tale at the annual Fanatics Fest! Tom Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl champ, joins forces with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Fanatics yet again to make a child's dreams come true - for the second year in a row!
This time, it's 12-year-old Axton Robertson, a cancer patient from Tennessee, who steals the limelight. Axton, a die-hard Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan thanks to Brady, embarks on a thrilling adventure at the second Fanatics Fest held at Javits Center in New York.
Before meeting his idol, Axton had the chance to spend $200 on some fantastic merchandise, mainly Brady jerseys and even a Michigan uniform - giving us a glimpse of his adoration for the legend. With a spirit as bold as Brady's famous uniform number, Axton was understandably "a little bit nervous"... but not for long!
Brady expressed his gratitude for the event, saying, "It's great to hear their stories, wish them words of encouragement, and make a fun day out of it. It's awesome."
Axton isn't the only lucky one at the fest, as Derek Jeter, Peyton and Eli Manning, LeBron James, and more big-name athletes are also in attendance for the weekend.
Excited beyond words, Axton's mother described the anticipation building up to the big day, appreciating the impact Brady has had on their family, "Tom Brady is really how he got into football. He can tell you all day, every day, that Tom Brady is the GOAT, he really respects him."
The impact of Tom Brady's philanthropic endeavors with Fanatics and the Make-A-Wish Foundation goes beyond this special moment. Since their partnership began in October 2023, they've granted more than 600 wishes to children facing critical illnesses.
