Tom Brady Clones Late Dog Lua, Sparks Controversy

Tom Brady, the renowned NFL quarterback, has sparked controversy after revealing he cloned his late dog Lua. The clone, named Junie, has drawn criticism from social media users who argue Brady should have adopted from a shelter instead. Brady is not the only celebrity to explore pet cloning, with Argentina's president Javier Milei admitting to having his dog cloned multiple times.

Brady adopted Lua in 2014 and she passed away two years ago. In a press release for biotech company Colossal Biosciences, Brady announced he had cloned Lua using non-invasive technology. The company, in collaboration with Bramble Bio, created Junie from a blood sample of the deceased Lua. Brady currently has at least two dogs, including Junie and Scooby, which he adopted in 2015.

The decision to clone Lua has not been without criticism. Social media users and animal rights organization PETA have urged Brady to be more mindful of his language and actions regarding animals. Dave Portnoy, a Brady supporter, also expressed his disapproval, calling the cloning 'weird as fuck'. Colossal Biosciences, however, has cloned pets for other celebrities like Paris Hilton and Barbra Streisand through its acquisition of Viagen Pets and Equine.

Tom Brady's decision to clone his late dog Lua has sparked debate and criticism. Despite the controversy, Brady's three children enjoy spending time with Junie. As pet cloning technology advances, it remains a divisive topic among animal lovers and advocates.
