Saturday Night Live (SNL), one of the hardest tickets to get in New York City, is set to kick off its new season on October 4th, with the host and musical guest yet to be announced. For those eager to be part of the studio audience, here's a comprehensive guide on how to secure tickets for SNL.
The SNL Ticket Lottery, open from August 1, 2025, at 12 PM ET to August 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET, is the primary method for obtaining tickets. To enter, interested participants must send one email between these dates to [email protected], including their first and last name and a reason why they want to be part of the audience. Only one email per person is allowed, and submissions outside the lottery window will not be considered. Please note that entering the lottery does not guarantee tickets.
For those not chosen in the lottery, standby tickets can be pursued on the show date itself. Standby cards are distributed starting at 12:01 ET on Saturdays when the show is taped. To secure a standby card, you must join the standby line in person, and guests must be at least 16 years old with valid photo ID. Standby cards do not guarantee admission, as seating is limited and contingent on no-shows among ticket holders. Reservations for standby can be made online.
