To whom does the ownership of the pedelec belong?
In the city of Bielefeld, Germany, the police are on the hunt for the rightful owners of two stolen Pedelecs, specifically a black Zündapp Lady's Pedelec, Citybike model, and another unidentified Pedelec.
The first secured bicycle was found on the main street on April 24, 2025, and the second was discovered in a room after playing a signal tone. The woman who reported her stolen bicycle was able to locate it using a GPS tracker.
The police are suspecting a 52-year-old man in connection with the thefts. An additional personal document of the same individual, known to be homeless, was found in the room. A judge approved a search of the room to gather more evidence.
The rightful owner of the first secured bicycle is asked to contact Criminal Commissioner 13 at 0521/545-0 with proof of ownership. The owner of the second Pedelec, identified as a black Zündapp lady's Pedelec, model Citybike, has yet to be identified.
