Scooping Champions League Final Tickets? Better Have Deep Pockets and Lady Luck
To attend the Champions League final, one requires both substantial funds and ample fortune
Mark your calendars, the Champions League final is heading to Munich! But don't think just because it's nearby, you can breeze in. The pool of available tickets is tiny and expensive. While other final tickets are budget-friendly, here's the scoop on the Munich mega-priced passes.
Applications for the first batch of tickets are now open and will close on April 11, 9 am. A total of 2700 passes will be distributed via a lottery among applicants. You can request up to two tickets per person.
Out of the 64,500 seats in the Munich arena, only 38,700 are for the public. Of these, 18,000 apiece are reserved for the finalist teams, leaving a measly 2700 for the sale by UEFA. The prices range from 180, 650, and 950 euros, with a more accessible option costing a still steep 70 euros for the finalists. The teams battling it out in the quarter-finals are Bayern Munich vs Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund vs FC Barcelona.
If the price tag for the Champions League leaves you feeling frustrated, fret not! The Europa League final in Bilbao comes at a slightly cheaper cost, with prices ranging from 40, 65, 160, or 240 euros. German team Eintracht Frankfurt is still in the running against Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-finals on April 8. The Conference League final in Wrocław offers more affordable prices with tickets available for 25, 45, 140, or 190 euros.
Meanwhile, if women's football is your game, tickets for the Champions League women's final in Lisbon can be purchased regularly through UEFA for 10, 20, and 40 euros.
For those who missed the UEFA or team ticket sales, be prepared to pay above the original face value on authorized resale platforms such as StubHub and Ticketmaster.

- The community policy should include guidelines for ticket sales during sporting events, such as the Champions League final, to prevent overpricing and ensure fair access to tickets for the general public.
- In addition to the Champions League and Europa League, employment policies within football clubs could consider offering discounted or free tickets to employees as a benefits package, promoting a stronger sense of unity and belonging within the organization.
- To increase transparency and prevent ticket scalping on platforms like WhatsApp and StubHub, UEFA could establish standardized categories for ticket sales, with clearly defined pricing tiers and a verified resale process for tickets beyond their initial distribution.
