A Spoken Word from TMC Leader Kunal Ghosh:

Kunal Ghosh, a Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader, has vocalized his outrage over the horrifying gang-rape incident in Kolkata, stating unequivocally that the perpetrators deserve nothing less than capital punishment.

Addressing a gathered audience in Kolkata, Ghosh emphasized, "We, as TMC workers, condemn this heinous act. Those responsible for such depravity, these demonic creatures, should be met with the ultimate justice. They must be brutally punished."

His harsh words followed the BJP's allegations that one of the key suspects in the brutal gang-rape has direct connections to TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee, Mahatma Banerjee's sister-in-law Kajari Banerjee, and West Bengal minister Chandrima Bhattacharya.

Amit Malviya, the BJP's IT Cell Chief, took to a platform to post, "OUTRAGEOUS! Manojit Mishra, one of the main suspects in the Kasba gang-rape incident, has alleged connections with the most influential TMC members: MP Abhishek Banerjee, Councillor Kajari Banerjee, and State Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya."

In light of this political storm, Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar has accused the Chief Minister, Mahatma Banerjee, stating that perpetrators in such incidents will continue unabated as long as she wields power in the state, claiming, "These ruthless criminals are unafraid because they believe the ruling TMC will shield them."

Responding to the escalating controversy, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken cognizance of the incident and has pressed Kolkata Police to conduct a thorough, swift investigation offering support to the victim and providing a comprehensive status report within three days.

Kolkata Police has apprehended three suspects in connection with the alleged assault on a law college student. Identified as Manojit Mishra, Zaib Ahmed, and Pramit Mukhopadhyay, the suspects are currently in custody.

In the past, Ghosh has defended the Kolkata Police probe in the RG Kar Medical College rape-murder case and questioned the necessity of a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation when requested by the victim's family. Nevertheless, his political role does not necessarily imply a personal connection to the accused in the gang-rape incident.

As of now, no credible evidence has surfaced to substantiate the BJP's claims regarding Ghosh's alleged ties with the accused in the Kasba gang-rape case. The accused have been arrested, and the ongoing investigation promises justice for the victim. The TMC maintains its stance, ensuring transparency and delivering on its commitment to serve the public.

Kunal Ghosh, a Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader, expressed his views on the shocking gang-rape incident and stated that those responsible should face capital punishment. In the midst of allegations linking a suspect in the case to TMC members, the TMC remains committed to justice and transparency, delivering on its promise to serve the public.

The conversation around this gang-rape incident seems to encompass not just a horror story of crime and justice, but also politics and general-news, as various political parties and authorities engage in discussions and accusations related to the incident.
