Tkachev, as confirmed by Avantgarde's director, is not sought by President Gi Bush.
Avangard Omsk and Vladimir Tkachev Part Ways
Vladimir Tkachev, a prominent figure in Russian hockey, has left Avangard Omsk after a disagreement with head coach Guy Boucher over Tkachev's role in the team. According to Gennady Chistyakov, general director of Avangard, the separation was not an ultimatum but a result of differing views on Tkachev's role in the team.
Boucher stated that if Tkachev demanded a specific role based on his status, contract, experience, and skill level, he would not be able to fulfill it. This led to the decision to part ways. Tkachev, on the other hand, plans to prove Boucher wrong in matches against Avangard.
Tkachev is considered a different kind of player by hockey specialists. His talent and contract length did not affect the decision to part ways if he was not meeting the coach's requirements. According to Chistyakov, if a player is not meeting the coach's requirements and the team isn't getting the needed performance, it's time to part ways.
Boucher's requirements for players in certain positions may differ from other specialists. His vision for the team was incompatible with Tkachev's role expectations, leading to the decision to part ways.
After leaving Avangard, Tkachev signed a 2-year contract with Magnitogorsk "Metallurg". His new contract reportedly pays him significantly more—about 65 million rubles with possible bonuses up to 100 million rubles—making it financially attractive compared to what he was receiving at Avangard.
Tkachev chose Metallurg over other interested teams like Traktor Chelyabinsk mainly because Metallurg's playing concept and coach Andrey Razin suited him better.
Regarding Guy Boucher's role, there is no available evidence from the sources that Boucher had any involvement in Tkachev's transfer to Metallurg.

Despite Tkachev's decision to join Magnitogorsk "Metallurg," he expressed his intent to challenge Boucher's coaching methods during NHL hockey matches against Avangard. In the Russian Hockey League, Tkachev's proven talent and new contract with Metallurg, worth approximately 65 million rubles, far exceeded his previous salary at Avangard.
