The golfing world is abuzz with excitement as Titleist brings back two highly sought-after golf balls, the Pro V1 Left Dot and Pro V1x Left Dash, to the retail market. These premium golf balls, originally introduced as Tour-only models, will be available for purchase starting September 23rd, in the US and Canada.

First debuted at the BMW PGA Championship and Procore Championship in 2019, the Pro V1 Left Dot golf ball has been a favourite among professional golfers such as Bryson DeChambeau, who used it to win the 2024 US Open. Other notable players like Jordan Spieth, Scottie Scheffler, and Justin Thomas have also used the Titleist Pro V1x Left Dot golf ball in major tournaments, claiming victories at events like the Masters, PGA Championship, and WM Phoenix Open.

The Pro V1 Left Dot ball is designed for those seeking a lower and more penetrating flight, as well as lower long game spin compared to the standard Pro V1. This ball maintains a soft feel and spin control around the green, making it an ideal choice for golfers with high swing speeds.

DeChambeau, who trialed a prototype of the Pro V1x Double Dot in 2025, reported that the Left Dash ball flies around 20-30 feet lower than his previous ball, the Pro V1x, and he gets less spin with it. This redesigned ball is also tailored for golfers with high swing speeds.

In 2014, the Pro V1 Left Dot ball was introduced exclusively to Tour players as a Custom Performance Option (CPO). Since then, it has racked up an impressive 30 PGA Tour titles and two Majors.

The price of a dozen Pro V1 Left Dot golf balls is set at $55. Each customer is limited to two dozen of these highly sought-after balls. Listings of the Pro V1 Left Dot ball have already appeared on websites like eBay, with individual golf balls being sold at $25 and a dozen selling for anywhere from $200 to $370. After being released, the Pro V1 Left Dot balls sold out rapidly.

Henrik Stenson and Patrick Reed have also used the Pro V1 Left Dot ball in notable tournaments, such as The 2016 Open Championship and 2018 Masters respectively. The Pro V1x Left Dash golf ball, which will also be available starting September 23rd, is expected to follow a similar trajectory of success.

Titleist's high gradient core construction, used in the Pro V1 Left Dot ball, is also found in the Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls, ensuring consistent performance across their product line.

In summary, Titleist's reintroduction of the Pro V1 Left Dot and Pro V1x Left Dash golf balls to the retail market is sure to excite golf enthusiasts. With their impressive track record and unique design, these golf balls are poised to continue making waves in the world of professional golf.
