Marie-Laure, a blind French girl escaping German-occupied Paris with her father in search of refuge with her reclusive uncle in the coastal town of Saint-Malo. Simultaneously, a young German orphan named Werner is enlisted by Hitler's regime to track illegal radio broadcasts, but discovers a mysterious voice on an old station, drawing him into a web of mystery and intrigue.
