Title: "Manitu's Canoe" - Cinematic Adventure for the Entertaining Realm

In the heart of Munich, the long-awaited world premiere of the Western parody film, "Das Kanu des Manitu," took place, marking the return of beloved characters and a new adventure filled with laughter, music, and a touch of nostalgia.

Directed and co-written by Michael Herbig, the sequel to the 2001 cult Western parody, "Der Schuh des Manitu," sees the return of Apache Chief Abahachi (Herbig) and his white blood brother Ranger (Christian Tramitz). This time, they are joined by a new cast that includes Jessica Schwarz, Friedrich Mücke, Jasmin Schwiers, and comedian Tutty Tran.

The plot revolves around a gang trying to steal the legendary "Canoe of Manitou," a relic with special powers. Abahachi and Ranger find themselves in trouble with the sheriff and his deputy, but are rescued at the last moment by their loyal companions. The rescue reveals a larger plan and sets the stage for their greatest adventure yet, filled with misunderstandings and surprising answers to life’s important questions.

The sequel also sees the return of Sky DuMont as the villain Santa Maria. DuMont, who sunk in a swamp at the end of "Der Schuh des Manitu," announced that "Das Kanu des Manitu" would be his last film. His emotional farewell was particularly poignant at the event, drawing tears from Herbig himself.

"Das Kanu des Manitu" is a delightful blend of the old and the new, featuring dance numbers, songs by Stefan Raab and Herbig, and several movie quotes. It also pays homage to Westerns based on Karl May's novels from the 1960s, as well as nods to "Indiana Jones" and the works of Louis de Funès.

Winnetouch (Herbig) has moved on from his on-screen adventures, now running a dance and fencing school. However, his character's spirit lives on, as he and Ranger continue to ride through the prairie together, embodying the quest for peace and justice in the face of adversity.

The film is set to hit theaters on Thursday, promising to bring laughter, emotion, and a dash of nostalgia to audiences. With a cast of beloved characters, a new adventure, and a contemporary twist, "Das Kanu des Manitu" is sure to be a hit with fans of the original and newcomers alike.

Approximately 3,000 guests attended the premiere, witnessing a night filled with emotional goodbyes and the promise of a new chapter in the world of Western parody. As the curtain falls on "Das Kanu des Manitu," American actor Alan Tafoya, who promotes understanding among peoples during his stage appearance in the film, leaves the audience with a heartfelt message: "I am happy to have brought the Apache world a little closer to the audience."

"This new adventure, filled with laughter, music, and a touch of nostalgia, is set to captivate audiences across the globe, as it will be available not just in theaters, but also on 'movies-and-tv' platforms for those who cannot attend the screenings."

"In his emotional farewell, Sky DuMont, the antagonist of the original movie and the sequel, tied together the nucleus of 'entertainment' that spanned over two decades, while leaving fans with a mixture of joy, reminiscing the iconic Western parody films."
