Tips for horse racing on Friday, September 19 at Ayr and Newbury racetracks
In the upcoming races at Ayr and Newbury, there are several horses to watch out for, each with their own compelling story.
At Ayr, the 3.40 race sees the return of "Eternal Sunshine," who is clear on Racing Post Ratings. This horse has recently completed a hat-trick in last Saturday's Portland race and is 6lb well in. Moreover, its low draw is considered an advantage, based on how things unfolded in Thursday's 5f handicap at Ayr.
Tim Easterby, the trainer of Mister Sox, has been responsible for two of the last six winners of the 3.40 race at Ayr. Mister Sox, set to race at Ayr, won at Ripon last month and finished a close fourth off this mark last time.
Another horse to watch is Valley Of Flowers, which is set to race at Ayr in the 5.20 race. This horse won this race in 2023 and, after finishing second at Carlisle in July, looks poised for a strong performance. Harry Wilson believes Valley Of Flowers' return to Ayr looks positive.
Meanwhile, at Newbury, Graeme Rodway has a play of the day. Richard Russell believes Amazing Journey can return to winning ways in the 2.55 race at Newbury. This horse showed promise in its recent comeback third in the Beverley Bullet and could improve significantly.
Lastly, Ghaadah, which won very well on its debut at Wolverhampton 17 days ago, is also worth keeping an eye on. Harry Wilson has three tips from Ayr and Newbury on Friday, and Ghaadah is one of them. Simon and Ed Crisford's horse, Ghaadah, has been moving well on the summer gallop.
For those looking for the best free bets, Racing Post offers them all in one place.
As always, let the races begin!
