Tina Fey Welcomes Emma Stone to the Exclusive Five-Timers Club on SNL

With a smile, Fey greeted Stone and revealed that at 35, she's the youngest person to join the elite club of five-time hosts. Joining legends like Will Ferrell, Ben Affleck, and Melissa McCarthy, Fey was the first female former cast member to become a member.

Fey playfully teased that the Five-Timers Club had a "ladies' wing" and that Candice Bergen, the club's original founder, was their queen. Bergen then joined Fey and Stone on stage. Laughing, Bergen commended the evolution of the "tear-jerking corner" into a more luxurious space for emotional moments.

Bergen, the first female five-time host, in her characteristic wit, commented on the progress, "Now, it's a grand, swanky place to weep." She followed by saying, "Today, Emma, you're adding your chapter to Saturday Night Live's history."

Oscar-winner Stone, the night's host, delivered her fifth monologue, accompanied by musical guest Noah Kahane. Stone previously graced the SNL stage in 2010, 2011, 2016, and 2019.

At the end of Stone's monologue, Fey had the honor of presenting Stone with the official Five-Timers Club jacket. Overwhelmed, Stone shared, "This has been a lifelong dream for me, and I'm so honored to share this moment with all of you."

Five-Timers Club is a distinguished group of SNL performers who have hosted the show at least five times. The club was first introduced in 1990 when Tom Hanks became the seventh person to achieve this milestone. Some notable members include Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin, Elliott Gould, and Candice Bergen.
