Time for some personal snapshots with Bruce Darnell.
The Dodenhof Fashion Night, held at an unspecified location, recently crowned two new faces in the modeling industry. The event, organised by Dodenhof, a Posthausen-based department store, in collaboration with fashion label S.Oliver and model agency PMA, aimed to discover fresh talent and provide opportunities within the fashion and retail sectors.
The competition, a platform for aspiring models, attracted numerous applicants, with ten finalists making it through from a pool of over 800 applicants. The star attraction of the event was Bruce Darnell, a renowned choreographer and judge on German talent shows, who, alongside Tina Jahnke, a prominent figure in the fashion and modeling industry, formed part of the judging panel.
During the event, Bruce Darnell shared his wisdom with the contestants, advising them to "always walk in the middle - that's where the show is!" and emphasizing the importance of self-belief, passion, versatility, discipline, and a strong work ethic for success in the industry.
The final round saw Binta Sakah, from Oldenburg, impress the audience with her "super presence," ultimately finishing in second place. The competition's decision was tough for the jury, but in the end, two main winners emerged.
19-year-old Rosalie Henne stood out in person despite initially weak photos, while 22-year-old Lili-Enola Nusche was praised for her "edginess" and unconventional look. Both winners will now present an S.Oliver collection on the catwalk as part of the competition.
Third place went to Louis Wielki, who showed potential for an "international career." Nika Heuser from Bremen did not make it into the top three finalists.
The finalists had already completed a catwalk crash course and their first photoshoot before the event. All finalists were invited to a Posthausen shopping center event on September 27 for the Dodenhof Fashion Night, where they showcased their skills and talents to the public.
The casting jury consisted of four representatives from the organising companies, with Bruce Darnell and Tina Jahnke hosting the event. The competition served as a significant stepping stone for emerging talents in Germany’s fashion scene, offering them valuable exposure, experience, and opportunities to kickstart their careers.
- The winners, Rosalie Henne and Lili-Enola Nusche, will not only be presenting an S.Oliver collection on the catwalk as part of the competition, but they will also be moving forward in the fashion and entertainment industry, given the significance of the Dodenhof Fashion Night as a stepping stone for emerging talents in Germany’s fashion scene.
- Aside from the newly crowned models, the competition also spurred interest in an other lifestyle segment, as the finalists were invited to a Posthausen shopping center event on September 27 for the Dodenhof Fashion Night, showcasing their skills and talents in the realm of fashion-and-beauty to the public.
