Tim Hortons® earns Halal certification for all Singapore outlets ahead of major expansion

Tim Hortons® has secured Halal certification for all its existing outlets in Singapore. The move comes as the Canadian coffee chain prepares to expand across the city-state with up to 20 new branches. Every future location will also meet Halal standards, ensuring broader accessibility for Muslim customers.

The certification process involved a detailed review of Tim Hortons®' operations, supply chain, and ingredient sourcing. Conducted by MUIS (Islamic Religious Council of Singapore), the audit confirmed that all food and beverages—including coffee, sandwiches, and baked goods—comply with Halal requirements.

With the certification now in place, the chain can serve its full menu to the Muslim community. Options range from handcrafted drinks and savoury sandwiches to festive treats like Timbits® and assorted donuts. The company has also highlighted its Iftar offerings, such as Signature Grilled Sandwiches, ahead of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr.

Expansion plans focus on high-traffic areas, including Orchard Road, Marina Bay, Changi Airport, and key shopping districts. Each new outlet will maintain the same Halal-certified standards, reinforcing the brand's commitment to inclusivity and food safety.

The MUIS Halal certification allows Tim Hortons® to cater to a wider audience in Singapore. The chain's long-term goal of 20 branches will now include fully certified locations, ensuring consistency in quality and compliance. This step aligns with efforts to create a welcoming space for all guests during major festivals and beyond.
