TikTok Book Awards 2025: Lilly Lucas, Mercedes Ron, and More Win Big
The TikTok Book Awards, now in their third year, were presented on October 18, 2025, at the Frankfurt Book Fair. The awards, based on the German Book Prize, honoured the best in literature as chosen by the BookTok community, with almost 67 million #BookTok posts worldwide on TikTok.
Lilly Lucas was named Author of the Year, while @nathalie_reads took home the Creator of the Year title. Mercedes Ron's 'Culpa Mía' was crowned Bestseller of the Year. The new category for Best Film Adaptation was won by 'The Summer I Turned Pretty'. @lyx_verlag was named Publisher of the Year, and @janaskleinebuchhandlung was awarded Best Indie Bookstore. Each winner received a prize of 2,500 euros.
The awards process began with a longlist of nominees published in September. A jury then selected four nominees per category. Voting took place on the TikTok app between October 1st and 8th.
The TikTok Book Awards, held for the third time at the Frankfurt Book Fair, continue to reflect the significant influence of the BookTok community on the publishing industry. The awards ceremony honoured the best in literature, with winners spanning authors, creators, books, adaptations, publishers, and bookstores.
