Whacking Balls at the White House: Bryson DeChambeau & Trump's Golf Outing
Tiger Woods Preceded by Bryson DeChambeau in White House Visit by President Trump
Golf's tour de force, Bryson DeChambeau, turned the White House into a temporary par-3 course! Meeting with President Donald Trump on a Sunday afternoon, the eventful visit included a buzzing social media spree and a casual round at Trump National Golf Club in DC. Margo Martin, the presidential Special Assistant, shared a tweet showcasing DeChambeau whacking golf balls from the South Lawn, landing neatly on the green cutout before the iconic venue.
As the day unfolded, Trump jokingly admitted that playing with DeChambeau was far from pleasant, claiming, "He's always a tough competition. My wife says, 'Are you as long as Bryson?' I say, 'Yeah sorta, pretty close... it's not close.'"
Arguably, DeChambeau isn't the only pro golfer spending quality time at the White House. Not too long ago, Tiger Woods paid a visit to the hallowed grounds, although the reason for his appearance remains undisclosed.
With both golf greats gracing the White House lawn, DeChambeau gears up for the LIV Golf Virginia event on June 6-8. Looking to join the likes of Jack Nicklaus and Hale Irwin as three-time US Open champions, DeChambeau seems like a front-runner. Over the past few tournaments, he's consistently impressed, scoring victories at LIV Golf Korea and landing a second place at the PGA Championship, with a T5 finish at The Masters to boot.
