Tiffany Haddish addresses whispers about a hidden infant, setting the record straight
Tiffany Haddish and Jason Lee have squashed rumors about having a secret baby together, following a viral Instagram post that sent fans into a frenzy.
The comedian, who appeared as a guest host on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in August 2025, addressed the speculation directly, clarifying that the viral speculation was not true. Haddish, 45, joked about the misunderstanding, stating that the baby in the photo was her "God Baby" and Jason Lee was the father.
The Instagram post, which featured Haddish, Lee, and a baby with a stroller, was captioned "Cats out the bag." However, the context of the photo was likely playful or related to a public moment, and not an actual secret baby.
Earlier, in a 2024 episode, Lee, who is openly gay, jokingly asked Haddish if she was still interested in having a baby with him. Haddish responded affirmatively, mentioning artificial means, but this was not confirmed as a real pregnancy or child.
During her guest-host appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Haddish also mentioned that she has a list of potential baby daddies. The comedian, who is a former foster child, highlighted the need for family love for children seeking homes.
Lee, who also spent time in foster care, echoed Haddish's sentiments, stating that the world has lost their mind over the beautiful baby in the Instagram post. However, the duo made it clear that the rumors of a secret baby were unfounded.
Haddish's joke about the baby in the Instagram post prompted laughter from the audience, and the comedian joked further about her relatives blocking her from getting any privacy due to their questions about a potential secret baby. Despite the denial, Haddish stated that she is wide open to having a baby in the future.
