Thuringia's Minister for Infrastructure and Digital Affairs, Steffen Schutz, and Secretary of State for Sports and Volunteering, David Möller, recently took part in a charity table tennis tournament at Sülzfeld Table Tennis Club (TTC Sülzfeld e.V.). The event, which was broadcast live online, aimed to raise funds for the club's sports facility renovations. Initially planned to attend, Interior Minister Georg Maier had to cancel due to illness.

The tournament saw the formation of 'Team Thuringia', a team of political newcomers to table tennis. The team included BSW state lawmakers Alexander Kästner and Ralph Hutschenreuther. Despite Maier's absence, the event proceeded successfully with the participation of Schutz and Möller. The funds raised will go towards improving the entrance and sanitary areas of the club's facility.
