Thuringian Police join ROADPOL Safety Days enforcement campaign

The Thuringia Police will join the Europe-wide ROADPOL Safety Days campaign from September 17 to 21, 2025, as part of a drive to improve road safety for all vehicles. The campaign, which takes place annually, aims to reduce the number of daily traffic fatalities in Europe to zero for at least one day.

During the ROADPOL Safety Days, the Thuringia Police will focus on the safety of two-wheelers, including bicycles, motorcycles, mopeds, and motor scooters. The campaign, titled "Lead by Example," emphasizes the importance of setting a good example on the roads by following traffic rules, behaving considerately, and respecting all road users, particularly children, pedestrians, and other cyclists and motorcyclists.

The Thuringia Police's State Operations Center can be contacted at 0361 / 662 700 777, while the Thuringia State Police Headquarters' Press Office can be reached at 0361 57431 5020 or [email protected]. For more information about the Thuringia Police and their activities, visit their website at http://www.polizei.thueringen.de.

The Thuringia Police's participation in the ROADPOL Safety Days is part of a larger European-wide initiative aimed at improving road safety. The campaign is designed to promote a culture of road safety for all, reminding everyone that taking responsibility on the roads can save lives.

Following traffic rules not only protects the individual but also serves as an example for children, instilling good road safety habits from an early age. The Thuringia Police encourage everyone to participate in the ROADPOL Safety Days and help make our roads safer for all.
