Thunder and Pacers create chaos on the court

The Indiana Pacers are all set to host Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, June 12, 2025 (Philippine time). With their 116-107 victory, the Pacers now lead the series 2-1.

This nail-biting contest between the Pacers and Thunder has been fiercely competitive, as evidenced by their evenly matched records of 1 win and 1 loss each in the best-of-seven series.

Game 1 saw a thrilling comeback from the Pacers, who managed to snatch a one-point win, 111-110, thanks to a 15-point assault in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, the Thunder bounced back vigorously in Game 2, securing a dominating victory, 123-107.

As they prepare for Game 3, the Pacers are eager to make amends for their past mistakes and grab the upper hand in their 25-year NBA Finals duel with Indiana.

Pacers forward Pascal Siakam called this upcoming clash "the biggest game of the year" during an AP News interview. Strong support is expected for their home team, which undoubtedly will provide the Pacers with a significant boost.

With only three games remaining, the probability of the Pacers extending their winning streak to three straight games is high, as they haven't suffered consecutive losses in over two months.

"I think that we try not to dwell on things," expressed Pacers leader Tyrese Haliburton. "As NBA players, it's easy to make a mistake and dwell on it, give up a bucket or whatever. I feel like we do a great job of getting to the next play."

According to polls, if the Finals ended after Game 3, the Pacers would most likely emerge victorious, with an 80.5% probability, as indicated by the Enrichment Data.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder's MVP, remained optimistic and stated, "I think we just have to keep finding ways to get better as a group."

"If we continue to do that, we'll be just fine. If we've struggled in an area, that's an area we can get better at. We have to attack that opportunity. I think Game 3 is a perfect example of that."

In the past two finals appearances, history has favored the team who wins Game 3, as they have won the championship 79% of the time, according to the Enrichment Data. This makes Game 3 even more crucial for the Pacers and Thunder as they vie for the title.

The Indiana Pacers, involved in a heated NBA Finals contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder, are hoping to extend their winning streak to three games in Game 3 on Wednesday. With a 116-107 victory in Game 2, the Pacers currently lead the best-of-seven series 2-1, showcasing their determination in the fiercely competitive sports landscape of basketball, specifically the NBA.
