Thriving Female Long-Distance Runners Hailing from Lübeck
June 21, 2025: Lübeck Gymnasts Shine at State Championship!
Gymnasts from the historic city of Lübeck dazzled the crowd at the state individual championships, bagging two titles and a runner-up spot in performance class 3. A total of 51 gymnasts aged 10-14 competed in Tornesch.
12-year-old Lene Kleißl (Lübeck 1876) took home the gold with a remarkable score of 49.933 points in her age group, making it her state championship title. Her clubmate, Lotte Barnekow (14 years), also from Lübeck 1876, secured the other top spot in her age group with a total score of 47.599 points.
Soraya Ananda (10 years), representing TSV in Kücknitz, managed to steal the show with a surprising 45.099 points, earning the vice-championship. Luise de Ruijter (Lübeck 1876/14 years) placed fourth with 42.900 points, and Ciara Pasenau (Lübeck TS/11 years) ended up in eighth with 45.033 points in her age group.
