Thrilling Victory in Locker Klostersee: EHC clinches a resounding 11-1 win against league champions

In the first preseason test of the 2022-2023 season, the Bayernliga ice hockey team, EHC Klostersee, showcased their dominance with an impressive 11-1 victory over Landesligist ERSC Ottobrunn at the Grafing Wildbräu Arena on Tuesday, September 16.

The game saw the absence of two experienced defenders, Lukas Krämmer and Raphael Kaefer, who were missing due to work commitments. However, U20 defender Valentin Kroha stepped up to the plate and performed admirably in the position of the regular defender.

EHC Klostersee's offense was relentless, putting constant pressure on the opponent with their forechecking when they had possession of the puck. The team's attack was spearheaded by Marc Bosecker, who scored two goals, and Ville Saloranta, who netted an impressive hat-trick. Robin Rieke, Luka Kauppila, Arnaud Eibl, Simon Roeder, Philipp Quinlan, and captain Vitus Gleixner also found the back of the net for EHC Klostersee.

Patrick Mayer, who recently joined the team from the Erding Gladiators, was solid in goal, only letting in one guest solo goal. Former EHC goalkeeper Dominik Graübig was among the spectators at the Grafing Wildbräu Arena.

EHC head coach Thomas Vogl expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance in his first game. He stated, "I am pleased with the team's performance in our first preseason test. We showed great teamwork and determination on the ice."

Looking ahead to their second preseason test against EHC Bad Aibling, EHC Klostersee plans to maintain the same forward lines. The team's new addition, Raphael Kaefer, will join the action against EHC Bad Aibling. EHC Bad Aibling is expected to be a slightly more stable Landesligist than the opening opponents, providing a good challenge for EHC Klostersee.

The preseason opener against ERSC Ottobrunn served as a promising start for EHC Klostersee, showcasing their potential for the upcoming season. The team will look to build on this momentum as they prepare for their next preseason test against EHC Bad Aibling.
