On August 24, 2025, the 37th Erfurt Triathlon will take place, with Mayor Heike Langguth and all-round athlete Frauke Reuter participating in the 5-kilometer running segment. Around 600 people have already registered for the event, promising a vibrant atmosphere.

For those interested in music, the Theater Erfurt and the Catholic Forum in Thuringia are presenting a concert themed "Puccini and Church Music" at the St. Crucis Church (Neuwerk Church) on August 20, 2025, at 6:30 PM. The concert will be guided by Chefdramaturg Arne Langer, promising an enchanting evening of music. Admission is free.

History enthusiasts will appreciate the city tour titled "The People of Erfurt and the Peasants' War," led by historian Reiner Prass. The tour, which takes place on August 23, 2025, from 4 to 6 PM, will explore the urban background of the 1525 uprising. The meeting point is the city wall "Am Rosswehr" at the "Brühler Garden" bus stop. Participation is free, but registration via email to [email protected] is required.

The proceeds from the 2025 bike rally will be used for renovations of the community rooms in the Vieselbach parish house and work on the parish grounds. The bike rally, which took place on an unspecified date, saw the participation of 75 adults and children, starting from Wallichen and passing through Azmannsdorf, Linderbach, Münchenholzhausen, and Hochstedt before returning to Vieselbach.

The extreme sports highlight "Go big or go home" is scheduled for Saturday, September 20, at the Messe Erfurt. World champions Luc Ackermann and Libor Podmol, "Night of the Jumps" silver medalist Davide Rossi, and Czech FMX star Matej Cesak, winner of the 2024 FMX Gladiator Games in Prague, are expected to attend. Tickets for the event are available via the Eventim.de platform.

Unfortunately, as of now, there is no confirmed information regarding the participation of Mayor Andreas Horn or other local officials in any of the sports events in Erfurt.
