JOST + PILGER Cup 2025 Kicks Off at Quierschied Sports Club
Get ready for an exciting week of football, music, and entertainment as the Quierschied Sports Club hosts the JOST + PILGER Cup 2025 from July 14 to July 20.
The adult football tournament will feature top-level teams from the Oberliga, Saarlandliga, Verbandsliga, and Landesliga, with Spvgg Quierschied, FV Diefflen, SV Herrensohr, SV Auersmacher, and SV Gersweiler (from earlier references) confirmed as participants so far.
The main event of the festival, the JOST + PILGER Cup 2025, will begin on Monday, July 27, 2025, with the Cup 1 semifinal between Spvgg Quierschied and FV Diefflen at 7:00 PM. The final match of the tournament is scheduled for July 19, with the final phase matches taking place around this date. Matches will primarily be held in the evenings, with exact match times available for key fixtures such as the 7:00 PM kickoff on July 27.
The festival will commence on July 14 with an U19 exhibition match between 1. FC Saarbrücken and Astoria Walldorf at 5:00 PM. The following day, July 15, will see the second Cup 1 semifinal between TuS Herrensohr and SV Auersmacher at 7:00 PM.
Youth football will also be a significant part of the festival, with games featuring the D-junior, E2, C-junior, and F-juniors. On July 15, the E2 youth team from Spvgg will play against DJK Bildstock at 5:30 PM, and the C-junior game between SG Quierschied and VfB Dillingen will take place on July 16 at the same time. Saturday, July 19, will see morning youth football with the F-juniors starting from 11:00 AM.
In addition to the football matches, the festival will offer entertainment by DJ Luciano Falsetti and performances by the carnival club "die Quierschder Wambe" e.V. On Friday, July 18, there will be evening music with Century Fox, the rock band from Dudweiler, starting at 8:00 PM. The festival will conclude on Sunday, July 20, with a social gathering, the Cup 2 third-place game at 3:00 PM, and the Cup 2 final at 5:00 PM.
What's more, admission to the festival will be free every day! On Thursday, July 17, there will be a friendly match for the walking footballers in the "2nd AH Greispokal" round.
