Eye-Grabbing Releases
If sci-fi adventure is your jam, don't miss out on The Alters. This mind-bending survival game will captivate any sci-fi enthusiast, regardless of their usual preference for survival games. Following a spaceship crash on an unknown planet, survivor Jan Dolski must rely on alter egos—alternate versions of himself based on different life paths—to gather resources, expand his base, and conquer obstacles. This is where the game truly shines, allowing players to grapple with moral and ethical dilemmas while encountering unique problems arising from multiple versions of the same person working together in a desperate situation.
The Alters is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Incredible Co-op Gameplay
Kingdom: Two Crowns is a delightful strategy game that boasts striking pixel art and deeper mechanics than they initially suggest. In this game, you assume the role of a monarch building up your kingdom under constant attack by monsters called the Greed. Use gold earned throughout the day to fortify your defenses before darkness descends and waves of enemies storm your lands. Unlike other strategy games, you do not engage in combat directly, rather, you strategically place units, build walls, and outfit your kingdom to repel invaders. However, exploration during daylight hours offers opportunities to hunt for extra loot in a procedurally generated world, making it an excellent choice for local split-screen play.
Kingdom: Two Crowns is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Mobile, and PC.
Soccer Fever
With the World Cup kicking off on June 14, Xbox is getting in on the action with the release of EA Sports FC 25. While the EA Sports FC brand has parted ways with its FIFA license and rebranded, the quality of their soccer simulation remains unparalleled. This time around, the game introduces a new tactical system called FC IQ, Player Roles, and a 5v5 Rush Mode. Of course, career mode and the slightly dubious Ultimate Team still feature prominently in the gameplay.
EA Sports FC 25 lands on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC on June 14.
