Three-Vehicle Crash on B 28 Leaves Driver Critically Injured
A serious collision occurred on the B 28 federal road near Bad Urach early on Tuesday. The crash involved three vehicles and left one driver with severe injuries. Emergency services worked for hours to clear the scene and reopen the route.
The accident happened at around 7 a.m. when a 20-year-old man lost control of his Škoda on a right-hand curve. His car veered into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a Volvo truck. The force of the impact sent the Škoda spinning into a BMW X1 driven by a 30-year-old woman.
The road reopened after more than five hours of disruption. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. The injured driver remains in hospital for treatment of his severe injuries.
