Upon following the leads, investigators managed to locate the match for the described vehicle, and a traffic stop ensued. Among the passengers was a man identified as Damian "N", who has a warrant for qualified homicide.

Searching the vehicle, agents found a long gun and two pistols, as well as a blue Yamaha motorcycle. Along with additional evidence, they took the individuals and the material to the Public Ministry to open an investigation file. According to the Security Secretariat of the State of Mexico (SSEM), these detainees might belong to a criminal group stemming from Jalisco.
