Assembly Speaker Heastie predicts a "robust" discussion of raising taxes on the wealthy next session, a move that is central to Mamdani's agenda. This is the first appearance of Andrea Stewart-Cousins on the campaign trail with Mamdani. Despite Mayor Eric Adams' claims, neither Hochul nor Stewart-Cousins are New York City residents and cannot vote in November's election.
