Three employees at a pig farm in Siberia's Krasnoyarsk region died from ammonia fumes.
In the rural region of Bolshereckye, Krasnoyarsk Krai, a tragic incident took place at a pig farm. Three hardworking individuals lost their lives, suspected to be from inhaling lethal ammonia fumes.
According to initial reports, a malfunction on the farm led to an overflow of sewage in a collection tank. Four employees, acting proactively, decided to drain the septic tank independently, as per the prosecution's report.
The first three employees, including the head of the engineering and technical service department, the deputy chief engineer, and a tractor driver, entered the septic tank in sequence. It's believed they were exposed to a toxic cloud of ammonia.
A fourth employee followed and miraculously survived. He was rushed to the hospital, but the other three unfortunate souls had succumbed to their injuries before medical help arrived.
Currently, an investigation is underway to ensure that labor safety laws were complied with on the farm.
