Three deceased individuals retrieved from the Missouri River are suspected to match the identities of the girls who went missing during a fishing trip in Omaha.

Three young lives have tragically been claimed after the trio vanished during a fishing trip on the Missouri River in Omaha, Nebraska last month. Lah Tray Moo, 18, Laiana Green, 18, and Eh Cress Moo, 11, were out on the water when they went missing on April 15, as reported by NBC affiliate WOWT. They were accompanied by a 13-year-old relative who fortunately remained unharmed.

The distressing event unfolded when one of the girls tragically slipped into the river, causing the others to jump into the water in a desperate attempt to save her. Lah Tray Moo was the first to be found, with her lifeless body discovered on April 26 by a bystander at NP Dodge Park. NBC News confirmed her identification.

As the search continued, the fears and hopes of the community ebbed and flowed. Battalion Chief Coby Werner, who spoke to WOWT at the time, suggested that the girls may still be in the area. "The indication is that maybe the girls are still up in this area," Werner said. "But with the way the river flows, you just never know, so we're going to continue, we're going to focus up here tomorrow, but we'll also continue to search down river, as well, just in case."

The grueling search came to an end on April 29 when two more bodies were recovered in the river.Authorities have yet to officially confirm their identities, but, given the circumstances, they are presumed to be the two other missing girls.

The community has been deeply affected by this heartbreaking loss, with the local police department extending their "deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of these girls." A GoFundMe campaign was initiated to support the Moo family with funeral expenses, asking for prayers and support during this challenging time.

In a poignant twist, Eh Cress Moo would have celebrated her 12th birthday on April 22, just a few days before her tragic demise. The recovery efforts have now concluded, bringing a sense of closure to the families and community after an emotionally draining two weeks.
