In the heart of Spain, the vibrant city of Madrid will host the 2025 edition of 'Madrid runs for Madrid', a solidarity event dedicated to celebrating Hispanicity and promoting encounters between America and Spain.

Organised by MAPOMA, the event has a national presence in cities such as Barcelona and San Sebastian, and hosts actions throughout the year. MAPOMA, a pioneer in transforming the cycling tourism experience, is the leading reference in the sector. The Association of Terrorism Victims will be the beneficiary of the event's commitment in this edition.

The event, sponsored by Ibercaja Madrid, will start at Bravo Murillo Street and end at Camoens Avenue, covering a distance of 10 kilometers. Over 10,000 participants are set to run in the event, with runners from 43 countries participating, including those from France, the United States, Mexico, and Brazil.

The purpose of the event is to celebrate shared roots and promote encounters between America and Spain. The gender distribution among registered participants is 33% women and 67% men. Notable participants include Fernando Carro and Clara Viñaras, who won the 2024 edition of the race in the men's and women's categories, respectively.

The Madrid for Sport Foundation, through the Community of Madrid, has been promoting the event since 2008. MAPOMA has donated over 200,000 euros to charitable causes through the event.

In addition to the main event, the 'Mussara 24 H' team competition will take place at the Jarama Circuit on September 27-28. The details of the organization responsible for the Mussara 24 H event and its frequency are not specified in the available search results.

Cycling tourism is a growing trend in Spain, with almost 8 million Spaniards riding a bicycle with some regularity, and 2.8 million doing so frequently. Mussara is the only major circuit of cycling tourism events in Spain.

The event will take place on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a beginner, this event promises to be a memorable experience, fostering unity and promoting a shared love for cycling and culture.
