Booming at the Christmas Post Office in Himmelsthür!

Over two weeks have passed since the launch of the Himmelsthür Jolly Ol' Saint Nick Post Office, and it's been swarming with joyous letters from children worldwide! Jens Osterwald, the dedicated postal worker serving as the project's coordinator, shared the exciting news that they've already answered a whopping 9,340 letters.

Whether they're hoping for the latest smartphone, a stylish gaming console, or a cuddly new pet companion, children across the globe have been sending their heartfelt wishes to Himmelsthür. But, surprisingly, these material desires aren't the only ones on the wish lists. Osterwald also noted that non-material requirements such as wellness and peace of mind are frequently appearing on the kids' lists as well.

Located in the Pattensen mail center in the Lower Saxony region, the Himmelsthür Christmas post office team is comprised of dedicated postal workers and an army of selfless volunteers. This talented team is part of a larger network of seven Christmas post offices operating in Germany, with three of them being centered in Lower Saxony.

Highlights:

  • Himmelsthür's Christmas post office has fielded thousands of letters from kids worldwide.
  • Included among their wishes: cool tech, animals, and well-being.
  • The post office team includes workers and volunteers.
  • Christmas post offices across Germany are located in Lower Saxony (3) and other regions.
