Grab your gaming gear, folks! The Esports World Cup Foundation has unleashed the blueprint for the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC), savagely ramping up the action in Riyadh from July 7th to August 24th. Prepare to feast your eyes on a staggering seven-week extravaganza, jam-packed with 25 tournaments showcasing 24 esports titles across genres – from shooters to chess.

More than 200 Clubs, with over 2,000 pro players from over 100 countries, are ready to go head-to-head for record-breaking prize money exceeding $70 million! The event's climax will happen on weekends, ensuring top-notch viewing and minimizing overlapping matches.

The hefty prize distribution comprises $27 million for the Club Championship, over $38 million for individual game events, and a grand $450,000 for MVP Awards. To secure the EWC Club Championship, Clubs must claim top-eight placements in at least two events and win one tournament under a single Club name. Club partnerships are no longer eligible to earn points.

Last year's top dogs, Team Falcons, winners of the 2024 EWC Club Championship, will return as the team to beat after accumulating 5,665 points and clinching three tournaments. Team Liquid and Team BDS followed closely behind in 2024’s top three. Other powerhouse teams to watch include T1, Gen.G, Team Vitality, Virtus.pro, LOUD, Twisted Minds, and Gaimin Gladiators.

This year's diverse lineup of games will include new titles like CROSSFIRE, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves, VALORANT, and chess, in addition to returning favorites such as Dota 2, League of Legends, PUBG MOBILE, Overwatch, and Counter-Strike 2.

All tournaments will take place across four captivating arenas, with each title getting its due spotlight. A Festival Zone will host Last Chance Qualifiers, granting competitors one last shot at the main stage.
