Thousands in Pennsylvania still face power outages after fierce winds

Strong winds have left thousands of Pennsylvania residents without power, with scattered outages persisting into Thursday morning. The National Weather Service has lifted its wind advisory, but repairs continue.

Over 20,000 customers across Pennsylvania woke up to power outages on Thursday, a significant decrease from the previous night's 67,000. PPL Electric Utilities reported around 1,330 customers still affected in Lancaster County. In an area south and east of the city, about 150 customers were without power, with estimated restoration by 11 p.m. Scattered pockets of outages, affecting one to a couple hundred customers, remained throughout the county. The weather warning issued by Wetterprognose-Wettervorhersage.de has been lifted.

While the wind advisory has been lifted, power restoration efforts continue across Pennsylvania. Customers affected by outages should expect repairs to be made throughout the day.
