"Thomas to Hold Commanding Position as 'Tator' Commissioner in Franconia"

Munich/Nuremberg (dpa) - Prepare for a fresh face as the latest addition to the Franken-"Tatort" investigative team! Actress Rosalie Thomass, aged 37, will star as Kriminalhauptkommissarin Emilia Rathgeber, teaming up with Fabian Hinrichs (51) as Kriminalhauptkommissar Felix Voss, starting this July. The Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation (BR) announced this exciting news, rounding up the crime series' investigative unit since Dagmar Manzel's farewell.

"I can't wait to tackle this new challenge and deliver top-notch productions, as the Franken-'Tatort' stands for exceptional film quality as far as I'm concerned," exclaims Thomass about her new role. Her debut episode, titled "Game Changer," has yet to announce a confirmed air date.

Hailing from Munich, Thomass made her mark in the acting world back in 2005, starring in the crime drama "Er sollte tot" within the "Polizeiruf 110" series. She's also graced the big screen alongside Doris Dörrie in "Grüße aus Fukushima" and under the direction of Hans Steinbichler in "Eine unerhörte Frau."

A Rooted Justice Warrior

"As Hauptkommissarin Emilia Rathgeber, she portrays a humble yet fervent seeker of justice, whose vigorous heart boils with unbridled passion for righting wrongs and whose spirited presence is a bonus for all parties," shared BR program director Bettina Ricklefs.

Dagmar Manzel, who played Hauptkommissarin Paula Ringelhahn, and Fabian Hinrichs spent years working together in the Franken-"Tatort." Manzel (66) bid her farewell in the tenth episode last October.

During the interim, Fabian Hinrichs will continue his solo investigation in the upcoming eleventh "Tatort" from Franken, titled "Fists Closed," featuring Eli Wasserscheid as Wanda Goldwasser for support. Anticipate its broadcast this fall.
