Canadian Champion: Title Record and 300th Goal for Müller - Thomas Müller's 300th Goal Secures Whitecaps Fourth Straight Title
Vancouver Whitecaps secured a thrilling 4-2 victory over Vancouver FC, with Thomas Müller scoring his 300th career goal and leading the team to their fourth consecutive Canadian championship. The win also sees the Whitecaps qualify for the Concacaf Champions Cup.
Müller, who joined the Whitecaps from FC Barcelona in summer 2025, opened the scoring in the 5th minute through Ali Ahmed. He then converted a penalty in the 10th minute, marking his 300th career goal. Müller's teammates celebrated the milestone with a cake featuring a burning candle shaped like a 300 after the game.
Ryan Gauld, who came on for Müller, scored the other goals for the Whitecaps. Vancouver FC scored two late goals through Thierno Bah and Nicolas Mezquida, but it wasn't enough to deny Müller and his team the victory.
Thomas Müller, the most successful German footballer with 35 titles, continues to make an impact in MLS. His 300th goal and the Whitecaps' qualification for the Concacaf Champions Cup are testament to his enduring prowess.
