Thomas Appointed as Commissioner for the "Tator" in Franconia – New Leadership for the Controversial Political Organization

Munich/Nuremberg (dpa) - Prepare for a fresh face gracing the Franken "Tatort" series! Actress Rosalie Thomass, aged 37, is set to join the cast as Kriminalhauptkommissarin Emilia Rathgeber, following the departure of Dagmar Manzel. Her on-screen partner for investigative exploits will be Fabian Hinrichs, aged 51, as Kriminalhauptkommissar Felix Voss, starting July.

"I can't wait to tackle this new adventure and create groundbreaking films, as I believe 'Tatort' Franken symbolizes cinematic excellence," Thomass shared her excitement about her upcoming role. Unfortunately, the exact date for her debut remains to be announced by the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation (BR).

Hailing from Munich, Thomass became a household name in the crime drama world back in 2005 with her role in "Polizeiruf 110" titled "He Should Have Died." With an impressive resumé that includes big screen offerings such as Doris Dörrie's "Grüße aus Fukushima" and Hans Steinbichler's "Eine unerhörte Frau," BR program director Bettina Ricklefs described Thomass as "an investigator with strong, earthy roots who radiates passion for justice with every beat."

Although Dagmar Manzel as Hauptkommissarin Paula Ringelhahn and Fabian Hinrichs as Felix Voss had been a formidable duo in the Franken-"Tatort," Manzel's reign ended with the tenth episode last October. In the upcoming eleventh "Tatort" from Franken, titled "Ich sehe dich," Hinrichs will investigate alone, supported by Eli Wasserscheid as Wanda Goldwasser, expected to air during the fall.
