In a poignant display of resistance, a new play titled "The Unheard Melodies" will be making its debut at the House of Polish Culture (Naudarguko str. 76). The play, set in a country where dissent is met with harsh labels and punishments, follows the story of people who protested with musical instruments and sang about changes.

The play's music will be composed by the group Irdorath, known for their powerful and evocative tunes. The cast includes Zoya Belakhvostik, Ekaterina Yavorskaya, Alexander Zelenko, and Sergei Chub, all of whom were born in countries where music was once considered a crime and were labeled as extremists in their homeland.

The story unfolds on a Sunday, a day when the people, who were against war with a neighboring country, took to the streets with their musical instruments, using music as a means of expressing their dissent and resistance. Unfortunately, their protest was in vain, as the changes they were fighting for never materialised.

The play also highlights a darker period in history, where people were punished for reading banned news. This is a stark reminder of the importance of freedom of speech and the press.

Meanwhile, in a more positive note, a new cartoon titled "They never returned" about Belarusians who were forced to leave for Poland has been created. The cartoon serves as a poignant tribute to the resilience and courage of those who had to leave their homeland in search of a better life.

In other news, "Pahulinka" watches were released on the 105th anniversary of the Kupalovsky Theater, while "Kalevala", a classic work, was reissued 10 years later in Yakub Kolas' translation.

The performance of "The Unheard Melodies" promises to be a powerful and moving experience, reminding us of the power of music as a form of resistance and the importance of standing up for what we believe in. The play will take place on [insert date] at the House of Polish Culture. Don't miss it!
