Charting Her Career and Successes
Hazel's Journey
Born on December 9, 1993, in California, Allison Hazel Brugger boasts a mix of US citizenship, Swiss citizenship, and German nationality. Growing up with two older brothers near Zurich, Hazel Brugger's passion for both philosophy and literature led her to University of Zurich, where she ultimately opted for a different path.
At only 17, Hazel embraced poetry slams and clinched the Swiss champion title in 2013. Her enthusiasm and talent propelled her to launch her first stage program, "Hazel Brugger passiert," in November 2015. A quick leap to becoming a field reporter for the "heute-show" followed in 2016.
Collaborating with Thomas Spitzer since 2019, Hazel has strived to illuminate societal issues in their YouTube series "Deutschland Was Geht" (later transformed into "Europa Was Geht" in 2020).

Overcoming Challenges and Triumphs
In February 2019, Hazel Brugger prepared for a second solo tour titled "Tropical." Unfortunately, she was forced to cancel the tour due to the coronavirus pandemic. Undeterred, she showcased a recording of the program as a special on Netflix in December 2020.
At the 2020 Swiss Music Awards, Hazel not only hosted the event but also earned a nomination for the "Best Female Comedian" category at the German Comedy Awards 2020, which she eventually took home.
Since July 2021, Hazel has been on the spotlight with her third stand-up program, "Do you know this woman?" Eager to entertain in various entertainment productions, she has appeared in both the third and fourth seasons of "LOL: Last One Laughing" on Amazon Prime.
More Than Just a Comedian
Hazel's private life is just as vibrant as her on-stage persona. The successful comedian enjoys a loving relationship with her husband, business partner Thomas Spitzer, and shares a daughter born in March 2021.

In their podcast "Nur verheiratet," Hazel and Thomas candidly discuss their relationship and their personal experiences. In spring 2023, they introduced their new podcast, "Hazel Thomas Hörerlebnis."
