Thirteen steps leading up to the Lion's Trophy event venue
The figure skating team of MTV Rheinwacht Dinslaken delivered impressive performances at the Duisburg Lion Cup, a prestigious figure skating competition held on June 28th and 29th. Despite the challenging conditions with high temperatures in the hall, the team showcased their resilience and skill, earning a total of 8 first places, 4 second places, and 1 third place.
Leading the charge was Verenice, who secured a first place in the Figure Skater 2 category. She was joined by four other team members, Ciara, Sarah, Emilie, and Linda, each clinching a first place in their respective Figure Skater 3 categories. Lotta Margarete also added to the team's success by winning a first place in the Freeskater 2.2 category.
Praise was not only reserved for the skating team but also extended to the coaching and support staff for their role in helping the team perform under such hot conditions. Alina Sofia and Anne Yurika, both from the Junior 1 category, also made their mark, with Alina Sofia taking the first place and Anne Yurika securing a second place.
Jessica, competing in the Beginner 3.2 category, brought home a third place for the team.
