Say hello to the newest resident of SC Verl – 22-year-old goalkeepa Philipp Schulze, who's parting ways permanently with VfL Wolfsburg! This switcheroo follows Schulze's successful loan stint at Verl's third-tier club last season, where he racked up an impressive 38 league appearances as their star goalie.

Before his Verl adventure, Schulze had been loaned to Hallescher FC. He'd previously shone in the A-Junioren Bundesliga with the VfL Wolfsburg academy.

“We’re thrilled to keep Philipp onboard. He exceeded our expectations last season,” shared Verl’s Sporting Director, Sebastian Lange, in a statement.

This permanent deal comes on the heels of Schulze's standout performance with Verl, becoming their go-to keeper during his loan period. With over 70 professional games under his belt, it's no wonder both clubs have agreed to make this move a reality.

Kicking off his career at Hannover 96, Schulze shifted gears to VfL Wolfsburg's academy in 2017. Although he didn't make a senior appearance with VfL Wolfsburg's first team, his move to SC Verl sets the stage for more opportunities in German football's third tier.
