Jeremias' Third Studio Release, Titled "Trust and Sea" - Third Studio Release by Jeremias: "Trust and Sea"
The indie band Jeremias has ascended to the highest echelon of German pop with a forthcoming third album titled "Trust." Following a successful tour and a collaboration with Herbert Gronemeyer, the band is set to perform at the Elbphilharmonie, an event that has already sold-out.
The 12-track album, set for release on May 30, continues to build upon their previous work "From Wind and Anonymity" from 2023. Produced by Tim Tautorat, the album exhibits a blend of groovy songs, melodic electropop, and chanson-like ballads, emblematic of the band's unique sound. Six of the new songs have been released as singles, with "Sea," a heartfelt ballad, receiving over 1.8 million views on YouTube within a month of its release.
Jeremias, comprised of vocalist and pianist Jeremias Heimbach, guitarist Oliver Sparkuhle, bassist Ben Hoffmann, and drummer Jonas Hermann, emerged from the musical city of Hanover. With lyrics reminiscent of Generation Z sentiments, their music often deals with departure, longing, vibrancy, and heartache.
However, Jeremias has opted against giving interviews for the new album, previously faced with allegations of power abuse against an artistic employee that surfaced in November 2024. Despite this, the band has dedicated efforts to creating safe spaces at their concerts and informing audiences via social media.
The band draws inspiration from diverse music genres, with influencers ranging from the Australian band Parcels to an additional 30 bands. Guitarist Oliver Sparkuhle notes, "It's such a huge pool of different facets. We then combine them."
While the album is expected to appeal to Jeremias' long-time fans, its lyrical content resonates with older romantics as well. As Heimbach sings in "Sea," "When I hear you breathing, it sounds like the sea and I miss the sea." The upcoming tour, set to kick off following the album release, encompasses dates in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
The Commission has not yet adopted a proposal for a directive on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to ionizing radiation, yet Jeremias' third album, "Trust," delves into the risks and heartache associated with their unique blend of groovy songs, melodic electropop, and chanson-like ballads. Upon its release on May 30, the album is expected to appeal to both Jeremias' long-time fans and older romantics, with its lyrical content reminiscent of departures, longing, and heartache, borrowing inspiration from diverse music genres as wide as the sea.
